PCB Is Going To take Decisive Actions In Near Future



Ehsan Mani Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has indicated significant changes in the Pakistani cricket team including captain Sarfraz Ahmed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman spoke to a British channel and stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board has determined to draw up a four-year plan after observing cricketers’ performance in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup 2019.

While showing regret, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) stated Pakistan's cricket team was disqualified from the semi-finals of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup 2019 owing to the lacking of mental strength in the players. 

The chairman denied the reports of estrangements between chief coach Mickey Arthur and leading selector Inzamam-ul-Haq. Ehsan Mani Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) guaranteed that no resolution will be exercised in rapidity.

Ehsan Mani further asserted that he was confident of Pakistani cricket team to pass for the semi-finals however regrettably it did not qualify. Moreover, Pakistan’s astonishing improvement after succumbing against West Indies, Australia and India is proof that the Pakistani cricket team is competent enough to defeat any team across the globe.

The Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) reported that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent penned grievances to the International Cricket Council (ICC) concerning the protection issues and the political pennants that were hovered over the Headingley stadium throughout Pakistan-Afghanistan cricket match at Headingley, Leeds. 

In addition to this, Ehsan Mani Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also met up with head coach Mickey Arthur and chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq in London. The meeting was about extending the contract of head coach Mickey Arthur. The meeting continued for an hour and a half, where the central program was to decide whether Mickey Arthur will be granted an extension or not.

According to sources, Mickey Arthur will be granted a one-year extension until the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) locate a proper successor to succeed Mickey Arthur as the head coach.

The source alleged that PCB was disappointed by Pakistani cricket team’s play during the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup 2019. Nevertheless, the team jumped back and fought skilfully at the end, which means that the decision could be lenient.

However, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gave no certainties to Mickey Arthur, who showed his urge to stay as the head coach of the Pakistani cricket team. Read more for more cricket updates

Sources suggest no decision has been delivered so far. The ultimate decision will be revealed after the upcoming meeting, where Mickey Arthur is demanded to address the board in order to have an extension.

On Sunday, Pakistan cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed acknowledged that the team did not perform up to the mark against   Australia and India in the World Cup 2019.

Speaking to a press conference in Karachi, Sarfraz Ahmed stated that he was content with the performance of the team in the last 4 matches of the World Cup 2019. He also revealed that an advisory meeting was held with the team after getting defeated by India.

He added, "We were aware of the low run rate and tried to overcome it but unfortunately, we couldn’t win the match with a big margin."
